Canada Post Strike

During the Canada Post strike, we will use UPS or other carriers to ensure uninterrupted shipping. Please note that shipping to remote areas may incur additional costs. At this time, we're putting our $1 flat mail service on hold until regular postal service resumes. Orders to the US may require extra processing time.

Canadian Orders

Free shipping is offered for Canadian orders valued at $85 or more before taxes and discounts. These items will be shipped via Canada Post's Expedited Parcel and will include tracking. Occasionally, we may use UPS shipping services. Please note that oversized items are excluded; more details will be provided in each product listing.

Oversized Mail:

A flat rate of $20 CAD will be applied at checkout. Some remote areas may incur additional shipping charges if the actual shipping fee exceeds $30. We will contact you with a quote if this is the case.

Delivery Standards via Regular Mail:

$1 Flat Rate Shipping: Many of J's Rainbows exclusive merchandise ships for a low flat rate of $1 with no minimum purchase required. This includes our smaller macramé rope rainbows, stickers, and more. Many items from our Pipsticks & Sarah's Silk collection can also ship as part of our $1 flat rate offer. These items will be shipped via Canada Post regular mail, which does not include tracking unless combined with other items in the store that are sent via Expedited Parcel or if Expedited Parcel is selected at checkout.

Delivery Standards within Canada

The delivery standard for regular mail (Letter Mail) sent inside Canada is:

  • Two business days within Toronto
  • Three business days within Ontario
  • Four days within Canada

These time frames are not guaranteed, as weather and mail volume can affect delivery. For more information, visit the Canada Post website.

Expedited Parcels: All items over $85 or with paid shipping will ship via Canada Post's Expedited Parcel and include tracking. Delivery standards are as follows:

  • 1 business day within Toronto
  • Three business days within Ontario
  • Up to 7 business days within Canada

American Orders:

$12.50 CAD flat rate applies for all orders over $85 CAD, large subscription boxes, and small J's Rainbow exclusive merchandise.

Free shipping is offered for USA orders valued at $85 USD before taxes and discounts. These items will be shipped via Canada Post's Expedited Parcel and will include tracking. Please note that this does not include oversized items; more details will be listed in each product listing.

Letter mail option (New)

We now offer low flat rate options for items under our "$1 shipping collection". Please note that cost to the USA differs. For the latest letter mail rate, please take a look during checkout.

Letter Mail Shipping Disclaimer (Canada & USA)

Please note that for select items, we offer "$1 shipping" via Canada Post Letter Mail. Note that the cost is different for US customers. This service provides basic tracking but does not include insurance coverage. By choosing this shipping option, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  1. Limited Liability: We are not liable for any lost, damaged, or undelivered items sent via our letter mail service. While we strive to ensure the safe delivery of all packages, once the item has been shipped, the responsibility transfers to the postal service.

  2. Discretionary Handling: In the event of a lost or undelivered package, we reserve the right to handle each case at our sole discretion. This may include providing a replacement or issuing a refund, but is not guaranteed.

  3. Upgrade Options: If you require additional security and coverage for your shipment, we strongly recommend upgrading to our tracked shipping option, which includes insurance coverage. This ensures greater protection for your valuable items during transit.
